lyrics
Hearken, oh ones in pain!
Our broken hearts need not heal!
For what meaning there is in blind happiness
When our suffering, crystal clear, brings us closer?
No reason for a life of good
Nor meaning for a life of evil
Our plight is for hopelessness
And our deeds are worn like foul rags!
So let us break, in body and mind
Our cries and pleas will echo across the skies
She hears us, YES! She does!
And will relieve us in this final act!
So let us free, from flesh and bone
We breathe our last as fear turns to mirth
She'll embrace us, YES! She will!
And the proud will ache like we ache...
One of the bands (and albums) that got me into death metal to begin with. Possibly the best this band has done and a must-have for fans of extreme metal. Umbra
Perhaps the most extreme record ever conceived. Chaotic, pulverizing, unhinged and with some excellent lyrics that question and praise above and below. Umbra
While all Nuclear Death albums are disturbing in their own right, there is something really "off" with this one in particular. Drenched in horror, it is among the best death metal ever made Umbra
I find the first indication that an album is good is the moment when you are surprised to find that once the album is played in its entirety. Good album and a really wonderful cover artwork zelenico
Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
